Sharon Anderson, a teacher, an LPN, a tutor in a migrant program, an animal lover, and an active church member from Florida with a BS in education, has completed her new book “Unwanted/Wanted: An Adoption Story”: an engrossing book that delves into the author’s life as an adopted child fostered by caring parents who ensured her grow in body, mind, and spirit.

Sharon writes, “I have decided to write this memoir to encourage others who might be thinking of adopting. My parents were young when they decided to foster a child and then adopt me. The most important quality they had was loving hearts. Their dedication will be obvious as you read. Other adoptees may find my experiences interesting too. A dear friend in the present has enjoyed comparing her experiences as an adoptee with mine. She too had wonderful parents and two brothers who were also adopted. Of course, each person’s childhood is unique because each of us is unique.

I hope you enjoy the time travel from now back to the ’40s and ’50s.

However a family is formed, it is one of the most challenging and rewarding things you may ever do.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Sharon Anderson’s new book bears witness to the outstanding dedication of foster parents who take the time to rear their adopted children with the same kindness, understanding, and grace they would give to their own flesh and blood.

This book also unveils the blessings of having and being foster children and shows the beauty of family that makes life worth living and enjoying.

Readers can purchase “Unwanted/Wanted: An Adoption Story” at bookstores everywhere or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
